After the folding screen, is there any possibility for smart phones to evolve?
According to foreign media reports, Huawei technicians confirmed in AA’s exchanges that they are working to achieve the coexistence of full-screen fingerprint unlocking and under-screen camera technology.
Last week, Huawei’s full-screen fingerprint unlocking patent schematic was exposed. Huawei mentioned that one of the benefits of full-screen fingerprint unlocking is reflected in the fact that when trying to open apps that are encrypted by fingerprints, the opening actions and verification can be combined in one step, instead of clicking the APP icon and then popping up the fingerprint verification prompt as before.
However, full-screen fingerprint unlocking requires the deployment of many sensors, which will not only increase the difficulty of embedding the camera under the screen, but also mean that the design is more complicated. Huawei pointed out that in addition to achieving technical feasibility, they are also looking for ways to reduce the cost of applying multiple sensors.
Regarding whether the above technology may be seen on the Mate 40 series, Huawei responded that it could not give an exact time point. It seems hopeful that it will take shape after one or two generations. If so, there is hope for the fastest Mate 50?
