Huawei paralyzes fitness tracker: You need this app now

Spread the love

Do you have connection problems between your Huawei fitness tracker and another company’s smartphone? Then you are not alone, because apparently it is a widespread problem. But there is also a solution in the form of an app.

Currently, many users at Huawei allegedly complain that their fitness trackers no longer work together with smartphones from other providers, reports PhoneArena. Corresponding messages have been issued for smartphones from Google, Samsung and OnePlus; The wearables are both fitness bracelets and smartwatches from Huawei and the subsidiary Honor.

Huawei Health App as a rescue

According to Huawei, the company’s Health App serves as a solution to the problem. You can download this from the in-house AppGallery. In some cases, this means that you first have to install this alternative app store. The manufacturer also advises some users to delete the Huawei Mobile Services and reinstall them via the AppGallery. Apparently, the proposed solutions are not always successful.

The AppGallery is an attempt by Huawei to offer an alternative to the Google Play Store and Google Services. CURVED has already tested the store for you. In doing so, the company is responding to the ongoing trade dispute between China and the United States, which bans Google services on Huawei devices.

Return to Google Play soon?

Huawei is currently planning a comeback of Google services on its smartphones. The entry-level device Huawei P Smart 2020, for example, could already be equipped with a search engine and more. With the Huawei P40, for example, you have to get by without the familiar apps and the Play Store – unless you use a trick.
