Ulefone’s Armor series, consisting of well-equipped outdoor smartphones, is getting a new entry. After the Ulefone Armor 7, however, you will skip a number and the next step will be to launch the Ulefone Armor 9. The China smartphone is to be financed through crowdfunding. The campaign will be available for funding on Kickstarter from June 29th. To announce the Ulefone Armor 9, the manufacturer has also started a giveaway in which 5 devices will be raffled off.
On the outside, the Ulefone Armor 9 is again a typical “rugged phone” and retains various basic features of the last Armor smartphones – e.g. the attachment option for a wrist strap. But there are also changes. So the back of the Armor 9 now makes a more robust impression and at the same time provides a good grip in the hands with its rather coarse finish. On the side, the Chinese cell phone is again protected from stress by thick metal struts.
The main camera has grown by one sensor and now offers four sensors. Exact details about the cameras are not yet known, but the manufacturer promises a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor and a thermal imager with FLIR sensor. The front camera is still inside a drop notch. The Mediatek Helio P90 forms the basis for the Ulefone Armor 9. This offers plenty of performance and also good performance in games and was already used in the predecessor.
